Our Food



Fortunecooking Food Truck specializes in Asian-Fusion cuisine…we combine elements of different culinary traditions like SE Asia and marry them together to create the most delicious and unique flavors. Owner and Executive Chef Tom Lin, is a restaurateur, culinary instructor and Television Celebrity Chef. Inspired by his appearance on this season’s The Great Food Truck Race (on the Food Network), Tom purchased a food truck and expanded on his Fortunecooking Brand. We are honored to bring this Food Truck to metro Detroit and share our love of food!!

Sesame Chicken Rice Bowl Asian Taco Teriyaki Chicken Egg Roll
Tender chicken in a sticky glaze that is sweet, salty, and a bit sour. Served with steamed vegetables and over rice. Loaded with color and texture, this is a food fan’s favorite.  An Asian-inspired dish that get you out of your taco rut. Umami rich marinated meat, with layers of guacamole, pico de gallo, Asian slaw and topped with spicy mayo and cilantro. These unique, homemade egg rolls are filled with succulent teriyaki chicken, with fresh mixed vegetables and served crisp with plum sauce and hot mustard.

Our Story

foodtruckracepicChef Tom Lin was born in Taiwan and has lived in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and New York City. He currently resides in Michigan.His passion is cooking. Chef Tom has owned several successful restaurants in Southeastern Michigan (currently owns Szechuan Empire North and South). He specializes in Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisines and is inspired by Asian-Fusion dishes. He has over 30 years of experience making delicious Asian food.
